The old town of Barcelona is a unique area of the city. Its origins date back to the Roman era when Barcelona was known as Barcino. Currently, a large part of the old town is occupied by the so-called 'Gothic Quarter', whose streets are truly impressive and transport every walker back to the medieval era.

On this Free Tour, you will discover the oldest corners of the city of Barcelona. To start, we will stroll through medieval streets and learn some of the most popular stories and anecdotes of the oldest neighborhood in the city. During the tour, we will pass by the Cathedral of Barcelona, the remains of the Roman aqueduct, the Mercat del Born, and Santa Maria del Mar.

  • Entry to monuments.
  • Arrive 10-15 minutes early at the meeting point. If you arrive late, you will lose the right to take the tour.
  • No reservations are accepted for groups of more than 6 people.
  • The tour will be conducted with audioguides, the rental fee is €1.5 per person (from October 1, 2025, the price of the audioguides will be €1.5 per person).
