The Prado Museum, founded in 1819, is one of the world’s most important art museums. Its collection spans the 12th to the 19th centuries and includes masterpieces by Velázquez, Goya, Bosch, Titian, Rubens, Raphael, and Rembrandt. The neoclassical building was designed by Juan de Villanueva, and the museum has been expanded over time to host exhibitions and preserve its heritage.
