LIVE A DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE
Krakow is one of the most important and oldest cities in Poland, and during the Second World War it was the scene of one of its darkest stages. Although its historic center suffered less destruction than other European cities, by becoming the seat of the Nazi General Government, the city directly experienced the repression, fear, and resistance that marked an entire generation.
In this Free Tour, an expert guide will help you understand how the Nazi occupation was organized in Krakow and what consequences it had for the Polish population. The tour begins at the Basilica of St. Mary and continues to key places such as the Market Square, former buildings linked to the Gestapo and the Ordnungspolizei, as well as spaces related to Polish resistance, such as the Collegium Novum. Throughout the itinerary, you will learn about episodes of the Holocaust and actions of the Armia Krajowa, concluding at the Grunwald monument.
We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothing for this tour.
