Krakow is undoubtedly one of the cities with the greatest history and most interesting in Poland and Eastern Europe. Crossed by the Vistula River, its historic center was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978. Above all, its streets stand out for the stark contrast produced by the mix of medieval buildings with modern constructions, post-World War II. Moreover, its recent past has been marked by Nazi occupation and the creation of the Krakow ghetto.
