The airport is located 20km from Granada. The way to reach the capital is by bus or taxi. The bus runs every 30 minutes and has various stops throughout the center of Granada, ending its route at the Congress Palace, with a ticket price of €2.70. In the case of a taxi, the fare is usually around €20.

It is undoubtedly one of the most practical options for getting to Granada. Since 2019, Granada has had the AVE with a direct connection to Madrid, with a travel time of about 3 hours. The downside of traveling by car to Granada is the difficulty of finding parking and the limited circulation in the old town. How to Get Around Granada?
This is the best option to reach places of interest such as the Albaicín and Sacromonte neighborhoods, the Alhambra, or other corners of the historic center. The service hours are from 6 AM to 11 PM, and the frequency is every 3 to 10 minutes, depending on the line. The schedules and routes can be found here.

The ticket can be purchased directly on the bus and costs approximately €1.40. You can also purchase the Credibus card on the bus, which costs €2, refundable upon return, and can be recharged with amounts from €5 to €20. This last option is the most economical.
For a few years now, Granada has had a metro line connecting the towns of Armilla and Albolote, traversing the capital from north to south. The most central stop is Recogidas, and there is also another at the Nevada Shopping Center.
It has fairly extensive hours, from 6:30 AM to 11 PM from Monday to Thursday, from 7 AM to 2 AM on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 7:30 AM to 11 PM on Sundays. The frequency is usually about 7 minutes. You can check the schedules and routes here.
The price for a trip is €1.35 and €2.70 for a round trip ticket. There is also the option to purchase a card from the metropolitan transport consortium, which would reduce the cost of trips to approximately €1.
This option is one of the most comfortable and fastest ways to reach your destination, though it is not the cheapest. There are more than 400 taxis in Granada, making it easy to find one available.
