ACCESSIBILITY

We will meet in front of the Frauenkirche at the agreed time to begin a tour of Nuremberg, known during Nazism as the capital of the party congresses. Around us, we will see the Hauptmarkt, the main square that before World War II was a Jewish neighborhood.

As we walk towards the monument honoring the ancient Synagogue, we will discuss the persecution of the Jewish community in Nuremberg and remember key dates such as September 15, 1935 and the tragic Night of Broken Glass, reliving those moments in the streets of the city center.

Nuremberg was the quintessential Nazi city, a symbol of loyalty to the regime. At the ruins of the church of St. Catherine, we will learn about the story of liberation and how the city was rebuilt after the war, highlighting the fundamental role of the Trümmerfrauen, the “women of the rubble”.

At St. Lawrence Church, we will discuss the prisoners of the concentration camps and visit the Nuremberg Opera House, one of Hitler's favorite places, from where he even led events as the master of ceremonies.

The tour will conclude on Human Rights Street, where we will delve into the history of the Nuremberg Trials, a milestone for international justice. After three hours of touring, we will conclude the tour in the heart of the city.

  • Visit key sites of the Jewish community and their persecution in Nuremberg.
  • Discover the history of the city's reconstruction and the role of the Trümmerfrauen.
  • Explore the locations of the historic Nuremberg Trials and their impact on international justice.
