The thousands of years of heritage in Salamanca can be seen in each of its buildings. From the University, one of the oldest in Europe, to the Casa de las Conchas, the city is filled with monuments that will help you understand why it is known as Little Rome.

On our Free Tour, we will stroll with an expert guide through the most interesting squares and streets of Salamanca, where we will encounter surprising monuments. Starting from Calle Compañía, we will walk to the corner of Salamanca's most famous son: Miguel de Unamuno. We will discover the streets that inspired his works and those dedicated to Calderón de la Barca.

During the tour, we will also learn all kinds of stories about the university atmosphere of the city, which fills its streets with life during the academic year. Some stories involve important figures of Spanish literature who had the pleasure of sitting in the desks of this university. Additionally, we will visit other places of great historical and architectural value such as the Casa de las Conchas, the Plaza Mayor, or the Calle de Rua.

  • During the Free Tour, access to the interior of the depicted buildings and monuments is not allowed.
  • If you book for a group of more than 6 adults, you will have to pay €8 per adult.
  • If one of the participants uses a wheelchair, please indicate that when making the reservation.
  • The tour is adapted for children; you can bring up to 3 children per adult.
  • Pets are allowed.
  • Free cancellations and modifications.
  • We kindly ask that if you cannot attend, you let us know in advance.
  • You can make a reservation and/or modify an existing reservation up to 10 minutes before the tour.
