The neighborhood of Westminster, located on the banks of the Thames, is one of the oldest and most central areas of the city of London. Since the 13th century, this neighborhood has housed Westminster Abbey and the royal residence. Later, various buildings related to the political life of the country and many prominent figures settled in this area.
In this free tour, we will discover the political evolution and current affairs of the country through the most representative buildings of Westminster. We will start the tour at the foot of the Eleanor Cross and cross the historic Trafalgar Square until we reach the Admiralty House, where we can see some of the royal bodyguards in their traditional attire.
We will understand the political organization of the city in front of 10th Downing Street, the official residence of the British Prime Minister, and the Palace of Westminster and Big Ben, the seat of the British Parliament. Afterwards, we will learn more about the British royal family through Westminster Abbey, the church of kings where coronations take place, Whitehall, the palace of Henry VIII, St. James Park where Princess Diana used to walk, Clarence House, the current king's residence, and Buckingham Palace.
