A journey through ancient and modern monuments that will allow you to learn about the history and the current situation of the neighborhoods that were once born along the Thames.
In this Free Tour, one of our expert guides will take you on a journey through history via the buildings that lie alongside the Thames. After seeing St. Paul's Cathedral, the largest Anglican cathedral in the city, we will discover how the financial district of the City of London is organized while crossing the Millennium Bridge. In the area of Bankside, we will explore the entertainment district of ancient Londoners, where now stands the Tate Modern gallery, the Globe Theatre, a replica of Shakespeare's theater, and the Clink Prison, one of the oldest in the city.
Later, we will arrive at the neighborhood of Southwark, where we will visit the Southwark Cathedral dating back to medieval times and the Borough Market, the oldest market in the city. From the bank, we will have a panoramic view of the entire City of London, including The Shard, the tallest skyscraper in the European Union. Next to the Thames, we will also find the London City Hall, designed by Norman Foster, from where you can see the Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.
