Numerous cultures have passed through the long-lived city of Cádiz, from Phoenicians and Carthaginians to Romans and Greeks. Later, it also served as a port to the Americas and witnessed the birth of the pivotal Constitution of 1912 “La Pepa”.
On this Free Tour, an expert guide will lead you through the streets of Cádiz to show you the city’s most emblematic monuments. We will begin the tour at the City Hall, the Pópulo neighborhood, and the Admiral's house. We will stop at the Old Cathedral and the New Cathedral, where we will understand why Cádiz has two cathedrals. In addition, we will visit Plaza España and Plaza de las Flores, and we will have the opportunity to access the interior of the Market of Abastos.
We will get to know the city of Carnival and its people, and see historical points of interest such as the café where the deputies discussed the articles of the Constitution and the Casa de Contratación de Indias.
