LIVE A DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE
Enjoy this Free Tour around the surroundings of Buda Castle, one of the most iconic places in Budapest. Overlooking the city from the top of the hill, the Buda Palace is a historical and architectural symbol of the Hungarian capital.
This hill is where the city of Budapest was born, and over the centuries it has been the stage for different civilizations and historical events. The castle, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, was rebuilt in the late 18th century and still shows traces of the damage suffered during World War II.
During the Free Tour, you will explore the exterior of the fortress, its walls, and its most emblematic points such as the Vienna Gate, St. George's Square, the Church of Mary Magdalene, and Matthias Church, alongside an expert guide.
You will also learn about the history of figures such as Matthias Corvinus or András Hadik, as well as the conflicts and battles related to this historical site. The tour concludes at the Fisherman's Bastion and the Eugen of Savoy lookout, with spectacular views of the city.
