Nuremberg was not only a medieval jewel but also a key site of Nazism. In this excursion, we will travel back in time to explore the Zeppelin Field in Nuremberg, the vast complex built by the Third Reich as the center for their annual congresses.
We will meet in front of the Frauenkirche, and after a short ride on public transport, we will leave the old town behind to enter one of the most impactful sites of the Nazi legacy. There we will discover how this place was designed to impress, gather crowds, and project power.
We will visit the House of Art, a symbol of the regime's cultural vision, and the Coliseum, an unfinished work that aimed to assemble 50,000 people. We will walk along the Great Avenue, the site of military parades, to the Field of Mars, where exercises were held to exalt nationalist fervor.
The highlight will be the platform from where Hitler gave his speeches to thousands of followers. We will conclude the visit at the Documentation Center, an essential space to understand the past and reflect on historical memory.
We will return to the center of Nuremberg after three and a half hours of a tour that invites you to see the city with new eyes.
